About Tamayo
Tamayo, also billed as Tamayo Band, formed in Gainesville, Florida, in 2018 and began performing and recording soon afterward. The band draws on the wide spread of artists and genres that have come out of the city's music community. Its stated aim is to make the music its members want to hear, and its songs speak to frustration with social injustice and inequality alongside more dance-driven, spiritual themes.
