Super Sonic Shorties

Super Sonic Shorties is a funk and soul collective founded by Nikki Glaspie, whose drumming has taken her around the world with Beyoncé, Maceo Parker, Snarky Puppy and Dumpstaphunk, and into her own projects including The Nth Power and the 15-piece Nikki Glaspie & The Homies.

The lineup shifts from show to show. Past and current members include Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman on horns and vocals (both from the Trey Anastasio Band), guitarist Kat Dyson (Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Chaka Khan), bassist Tonya Sweets (Lizzo, Klymaxx), keyboardist Amy Bellamy, percussionist Marcie Chapa and saxophonist Katty Rodriguez (both Beyoncé), and singers Shira Elias (Turkuaz) and Kanika Moore (Doom Flamingo).
