Christopher Willits
Ambient guitarist and producer who co-founded Envelop, the spatial-audio venue, and builds slow, shimmering drones for its speaker arrays.
About Christopher Willits
Christopher Willits is a guitarist, producer and visual artist based in San Francisco. His records run electric guitar through layers of processing until the instrument dissolves into soft, slowly shifting harmonic clouds, with the original plucked notes surfacing only now and then.
He has released music on Ghostly International and on the 12k label, and recorded the collaborative album Ocean Fire with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Taylor Deupree. Much of his recent work is built around immersive listening, and he has led guided sound and meditation sessions alongside his performances.
