About Adrianne Lenker
Adrianne Lenker was born in 1991 and spent much of her childhood in Minnesota before moving east, eventually forming Big Thief in Brooklyn with guitarist Buck Meek. Alongside the band she has kept a separate solo catalogue, which tends to be quieter and more stripped back than Big Thief's records.
Her 2018 album abysskiss was followed in 2020 by a pair of records, songs and instrumentals, made in a small cabin in western Massachusetts with acoustic guitar, voice and the sounds of the room. Bright Future, recorded with a small group of friends, came out in 2024. On stage as Adrianne Lenker she usually plays alone or with minimal accompaniment, and her sets often include unreleased songs.
