Tycho (DJ Set)

Tycho is the project of San Francisco musician and graphic designer Scott Hansen, who also works under the design name ISO50. His records lay slow-building synth lines over live bass, guitar and drums, and the album covers come from his own design work. Dive (2011) and Awake (2014) set the template, and Epoch (2016) received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Weather (2019) brought vocals into the music for the first time, through singer Saint Sinner.

For years Tycho toured as a full live band. Hansen's DJ sets draw on the wider pool of electronic music behind his own records, mixing it with Tycho material at a steady, unhurried pace.
