About Southside 2027

Southside Festival 2027 runs June 18 to 20 in Neuhausen ob Eck, on a former military airfield near Tuttlingen in the south of Germany. It started in 1999 as the southern counterpart to Hurricane and still runs the same weekend with the same bill, so the first 17 acts, announced September 16, 2026, are Hurricane's too. Muse, mgk and Phoebe Bridgers sit at the top of the poster.

Under them the wave splits the way it does up north. Pierce The Veil, I Prevail and Simple Plan are the loud end, the punk singalongs come from Dropkick Murphys, The Interrupters and Feine Sahne Fischfilet, and Ikkimel, Mehnersmoos and Apsilon cover German rap, with Giant Rooks and Paula Hartmann on the pop side. Advance sales opened on June 23, 2026. No days or stages are out yet, and the poster promises more names.

Expect german rap, indie rock, post-hardcore and punk across 17 acts.

Cleveland's rap-to-pop-punk convert — tabloid-famous, genre-fluid, and louder about his feelings than anyone in the arena.

Muse

Paranoid space-opera rock at maximum scale — riffs, falsetto and conspiracy concept albums built for the biggest possible stage.

Masked Saguenay duo who loop double-necked microtonal guitar into hypnotic, odd-metred math rock — 2026's strangest breakout story.

Berlin rapper from Moabit whose songs take on racism, migrant family history and male vulnerability over heavy, minimal beats, as on Haut wie Pelz.

German-language punk rock from Ina Bredehorn, with fast guitars, a hoarse shout of a voice and choruses written to be yelled back at her.

Boston Celtic-punk with bagpipes, union politics, and a singalong rate of roughly one per song — 'Shipping Up to Boston' merely the loudest.

The headliners

  • Muse · Paranoid space-opera rock at maximum scale — riffs, falsetto and conspiracy concept albums built for the biggest possible stage. Top of the poster at both sites.
  • mgk · Cleveland's rap-to-pop-punk convert — tabloid-famous, genre-fluid, and louder about his feelings than anyone in the arena. The rapper turned pop-punk singer, on the poster under his three-letter name.
  • Phoebe Bridgers · Los Angeles songwriter with a near-whispered delivery and a gift for the devastating small detail, also a third of boygenius. The songwriter behind Punisher, headlining next to two much louder acts.

Up-and-comers to catch early

  • Sofia Isella · Strings, spoken word and a great deal of menace, from a Los Angeles songwriter still early in her run.
  • Apsilon · Berlin rapper two albums in, with Haut wie Pelz and 2026's Glanz Null.
  • Angine de Poitrine · Masked duo from Quebec looping a double-necked microtonal guitar into math rock. Nothing else on the wave sounds like it.
  • Mehnersmoos · Frankfurt party-rap duo whose 2024 album reached number four in Germany.

Other acts worth planning around

  • Ikkimel · Berlin rapper with a number one album in Germany and Austria in 2026.
  • Pierce The Veil · San Diego post-hardcore, the first of the heavy bands in the billing order.
  • Giant Rooks · Indie pop from Hamm whose second album, How Have You Been?, went to number one in Germany in 2024.
  • Feine Sahne Fischfilet · Punk with a trumpet line from the far north-east of the country, a long drive from Neuhausen.
