About Paula Hartmann
Paula Hartmann grew up in Berlin and worked as a screen actor before she turned to music. Her debut album Nie verliebt came out in 2022. She sings and speaks her lines in a low, close-miked voice, and her lyrics are full of small, specific details of nights out, breakups and friendships in the city. The production uses sparse trap drums and dark synth pads, which ties her to German rap more than to mainstream pop. Kleine Feuer, her second album, keeps that sound.
