About Hurricane 2027

Hurricane Festival 2027 runs June 18 to 20 at the Eichenring, the motorcycle racing track in Scheeßel, between Hamburg and Bremen, that has hosted it since 1997. The first 17 acts arrived on September 16, 2026, with Muse, mgk and Phoebe Bridgers set apart at the top of the poster. Southside, its twin festival in Neuhausen ob Eck at the other end of Germany, runs the same weekend with the same bill.

The first wave already covers most of what Hurricane does. Pierce The Veil, I Prevail and Simple Plan carry the heavy and pop-punk side, Dropkick Murphys and The Interrupters bring the punk singalongs, and the German bookings run from Feine Sahne Fischfilet's brass-backed punk and Giant Rooks' indie pop to Ikkimel, Mehnersmoos and Apsilon on the rap side, with Paula Hartmann somewhere between pop and rap. Days and stages are not out yet, and the poster ends on "and many more".

Expect german rap, indie rock, post-hardcore and punk across 17 acts.

Cleveland's rap-to-pop-punk convert — tabloid-famous, genre-fluid, and louder about his feelings than anyone in the arena.

Muse

Paranoid space-opera rock at maximum scale — riffs, falsetto and conspiracy concept albums built for the biggest possible stage.

Los Angeles songwriter with a near-whispered delivery and a gift for the devastating small detail, also a third of boygenius.

Masked Saguenay duo who loop double-necked microtonal guitar into hypnotic, odd-metred math rock — 2026's strangest breakout story.

Berlin rapper from Moabit whose songs take on racism, migrant family history and male vulnerability over heavy, minimal beats, as on Haut wie Pelz.

German-language punk rock from Ina Bredehorn, with fast guitars, a hoarse shout of a voice and choruses written to be yelled back at her.

Boston Celtic-punk with bagpipes, union politics, and a singalong rate of roughly one per song — 'Shipping Up to Boston' merely the loudest.

Berlin rapper firing filthy, deliberately provocative punchlines over hard techno and hyperpop beats, with hooks built to be shouted back by a whole tent.

Frankfurt rap duo MadFred and Maydn, trading crude, beer-soaked punchlines over party beats that sit closer to a pub singalong than a cypher.

Berlin singer whose hushed, half-rapped German pop sets late-night city melancholy to trap drums and dark synths, as on Nie verliebt and Kleine Feuer.

The headliners

  • Muse · Paranoid space-opera rock at maximum scale — riffs, falsetto and conspiracy concept albums built for the biggest possible stage. The first name on the poster, and the biggest production of the wave.
  • mgk · Cleveland's rap-to-pop-punk convert — tabloid-famous, genre-fluid, and louder about his feelings than anyone in the arena. Billed under the three letters he now records as, with a catalog split between rap and pop-punk.
  • Phoebe Bridgers · Los Angeles songwriter with a near-whispered delivery and a gift for the devastating small detail, also a third of boygenius. The quiet one of the three headliners, set apart at the top with Muse and mgk.

Up-and-comers to catch early

  • Apsilon · Moabit rapper whose album Haut wie Pelz spends as much time on family as on politics.
  • Sofia Isella · Spoken-word menace over strings, one of two Los Angeles songwriters on the wave and nothing like the other.
  • Angine de Poitrine · The masked Quebec duo and their double-necked microtonal guitar, a long way from home and from everything else on the poster.
  • Deine Cousine · Ina Bredehorn's German-language punk rock, loud and hoarse, coming down the road from Hamburg.

Other acts worth planning around

  • Ikkimel · The Berlin rapper leads the text of the poster, after a second album that topped the German and Austrian charts in 2026.
  • Feine Sahne Fischfilet · Brass-backed German punk from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, up on the Baltic coast.
  • Dropkick Murphys · Boston Celtic punk with bagpipes, and a singalong the whole field already knows.
  • Giant Rooks · English-language indie pop from Hamm, the band behind 'Wild Stare'.
