About Apsilon
Apsilon is Arda Yolci, a rapper who was born in Berlin's Schöneberg district in 1997 and grew up in Moabit. He started writing lyrics at about 14 and later began studying medicine at the Charité. The rapper and producer Ahzumjot noticed him on Twitter, and his first release, the double single "Sport / Ich leb", came out in 2021.
The EPs Gast, 32 Zähne and Blei followed over the next two years. His lyrics are often political, taking on racism and capitalism from a left-wing point of view, usually over trap production, and he was named lyricist of the year at the 2023 Hiphop.de Awards. His debut album Haut wie Pelz came out in October 2024 with Paula Hartmann among its guests, and a second album, Glanz Null, followed in July 2026.
