About The Interrupters
The Interrupters came together in Los Angeles in 2012, when singer Aimee Allen, who had previously worked as a solo artist, teamed up with guitarist Kevin Bivona, bassist Justin Bivona and drummer Jesse Bivona. Rancid's Tim Armstrong took an early interest, producing their records and bringing them to Hellcat Records, the label he runs with Epitaph.
The band's sound draws on 2 Tone ska and late-1970s punk, with offbeat guitar, driving drums and shouted group choruses. Their 2018 album Fight the Good Fight gave them a modern rock radio hit with 'She's Kerosene'. On In the Wild in 2022, produced by Kevin Bivona, Allen wrote more directly about her own difficult upbringing and recovery, setting those songs to the same upbeat ska rhythms.
