Leon Bridges

Leon Bridges is the stage name of Todd Bridges, who was washing dishes in Fort Worth, Texas, when early recordings of songs like "Coming Home" and "Lisa Sawyer" circulated online. His 2015 debut, Coming Home, used period instruments and recording techniques, and the ballad "River" became one of his most widely heard songs.

Good Thing (2018) moved into slicker R&B and won him a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance with "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand". Gold-Diggers Sound (2021) leaned further into late-night modern soul. His collaborations with Khruangbin appeared as the Texas Sun and Texas Moon EPs, and Leon followed in 2024.
