About Vincent Neil Emerson
Vincent Neil Emerson is a Fort Worth singer-songwriter who came up playing Texas honky-tonks and dancehalls after a stretch of living in his car and busking on the street. His 2019 debut LP, Fried Chicken & Evil Women, leaned toward playful, lighter honky-tonk songs.
His self-titled follow-up, produced by Rodney Crowell, turned more personal, and The Golden Crystal Kingdom carries that story further. Its title track looks back on the dancehall years, and "The Time of The Rambler" draws on the period of sleeping in his car and playing for change.
