About Slap Dragon
Slap Dragon began when bassist Scott Mulvahill and vocalist Laura Berens met and started writing songs together in the summer of 2023. The instruments are acoustic and played by Nashville session musicians, and the arrangements pull equally from bluegrass, disco and R&B.
The band played its first show in Nashville on June 1, 2024. An Instagram clip of the song "Already Won" passed 260,000 views, and after a Kickstarter campaign in October 2025 the group released its debut album, Mission Statement, on May 22, 2026.
