Texas-born country singer who spent years in a duo before restarting alone — 'Mind on You' and an easy way with radio hooks.

George Birge was born in Austin, Texas, and started singing at fourteen. He began writing songs as a teenager with his friend Cody Cooper; the pair split after high school but reunited in 2013 and recorded as the duo Waterloo Revival for Big Machine Records until 2020.

After the duo ended in 2021, Birge turned to writing for other artists, placing cuts with Matt Stell, Chris Lane and Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox. Clay Walker recorded two of his songs and later pushed him to post his own material on TikTok, where "Beer Beer, Truck Truck" went viral late that year.

That attention led to a deal with the independent Nashville label Records Nashville. "Mind on You" built slowly at radio, taking from an August 2022 debut to a January 2024 peak at number 2, before "Cowboy Songs" gave him his first number one later that year and "It Won't Be Long" reached number 3 in early 2025.
