Midland
Texas trio in rhinestone-suit finery reviving '70s and '80s honky-tonk harmony; 'Drinkin' Problem' set the template and they have stayed true to it.

About Midland
Midland is singer Mark Wystrach, guitarist Jess Carson and bassist Cameron Duddy. The three came together around 2014 after playing music at Duddy's wedding, and took their name from the Dwight Yoakam song 'Fair to Midland'. Before the band, Wystrach had worked as an actor and model and Duddy as a music video director.
Their debut album, On the Rocks, arrived in 2017 on Big Machine and was followed by Let It Roll in 2019. The records lean on stacked three-part vocals, pedal steel and shuffling Bakersfield and Texas dance-hall rhythms. Onstage they dress the part as well, in tailored Western suits, wide-brimmed hats and moustaches straight out of a late-'70s album sleeve.
