Ram Records duo making big, melodic drum and bass built for a main stage — polished drops with genuine songcraft in the builds.

Delta Heavy are Ben Hall and Simon James, who met at university in the UK and began producing together in the late 2000s. They signed first to Viper Recordings in 2009, contributing tracks "Galaxy" and "Abort" to compilations, before RAM Records picked them up in 2010 and released early singles "Space Time" and "Overkill".

Their 2012 single "Get By" gave the duo their first chart placing, reaching number 30 on the UK Indie Chart, while that year's EP, Down the Rabbit Hole, entered the UK Dance Chart at number 37. Both marked the pair's move from small-label releases to wider recognition.

Delta Heavy's debut album, Paradise Lost, came out on RAM Records in 2016, trailed by singles including "Reborn", "Ghost" and "Punish My Love", the last featuring vocalist Tanika. The productions favour melodic, heavily built intros and large, cleanly engineered drops, sitting at the more anthemic end of drum and bass rather than its rougher or minimal corners.

A second album, Only in Dreams, followed in 2019, with collaborations including Zeds Dead, Modestep, Muzzy and Kuuro. Alongside original material, the duo has produced numerous remixes, and their DJ sets and live shows are built for larger rooms and outdoor stages; they have also worked at other tempos, dipping into house and other electronic styles.
