Kumo 99
Ami Komai's hardcore-bred shout over Nate Donmoyer's jungle and drum and bass breaks: rave music built for a pit rather than a chill-out room.
About Kumo 99
Kumo 99 is the duo of vocalist Ami Komai and producer Nate Donmoyer, who previously drummed in Passion Pit. Donmoyer builds tracks from fast breakbeats and heavy sub-bass drawn from jungle and drum and bass, while Komai delivers vocals with punk aggression, switching between English and Japanese. Their live sets lean on that friction, with chopped breaks under shouted hooks, and draw a crowd that moshes more than it sways.
