Crazy Cousinz are a London production outfit who became central to UK funky, the house-derived style that grew out of the city's garage and grime scenes in the late 2000s. Their tracks are built on syncopated, soca- and soukous-influenced drum patterns, hard synth basslines and vocal hooks from guest singers, made with pirate radio and club sound systems in mind.
Their best-known record is "Do You Mind" with vocalist Kyla, a foundational UK funky single whose melody and bassline were later interpolated by Drake on "One Dance", bringing the original a wider audience years after its release.
