Common Saints is the project of London-based musician Jaydev Mistry, working in a psychedelic strain of soul and pop. The recordings favour soft, reverbed guitar tones, unhurried tempos and falsetto vocal lines, with arrangements that borrow from 1960s and early-1970s pop production — tape-warm textures, simple drum patterns, occasional strings and keys. The result sits closer to mood-driven songwriting than to riff-led rock, and the material is largely written and assembled by Mistry himself.
