About The 502s
The 502s started as a group of friends in Maitland, Florida, practising at a bandmate's grandfather's house with the modest aim of landing a slot at a local open mic. The name comes from 502, the area code of Louisville, Kentucky, which the band has adopted as part of its identity.
From those beginnings the group grew into a touring act playing sold-out shows and releasing albums. Their sets are upbeat and built around sing-along choruses, with the band describing its sound as beach folk.
