Carioca rap with a melodic streak and an actor's delivery, one of the most streamed voices in Brazilian hip-hop.
Xamã is a rapper and singer from Rio de Janeiro who works in the low, half-sung register that Brazilian trap turned into a default in the late 2010s. His verses tend to sit close to the beat, with melody carried in the phrasing rather than in big hooks, and he writes about romance and money with the same flat delivery.
He is best known for "Malvadão 3", a collaboration with the sertanejo singer Gustavo Mioto that crossed rap into radio and streaming playlists well outside hip-hop. He has also acted, and the pacing of his vocals owes something to that: lines land as spoken address more than as rap cadence.
