Victoria Victoria is the recording name of Tori Elliott, a songwriter and producer based in North Carolina. She builds her arrangements from her own voice, layering close harmony parts over songs that borrow chord movement and phrasing from jazz standards while staying pop-length and pop-shaped. Her recent records were made with guitarist Charlie Hunter, whose eight-string playing covers bass and guitar at once, which leaves the arrangements sparse enough for the vocal stacks to sit up front.
