About Twin Shadow
Twin Shadow is the recording name of George Lewis Jr., who grew up in Florida and started the project in Brooklyn. His debut was produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and released through Taylor's Terrible Records with 4AD, and its gated drums and moody synths drew heavily on 1980s new wave.
Confess followed in 2012 with a harder, more guitar-forward sound, and Eclipse, released on a major label in 2015, went bigger still in its production. Later albums, including Caer and a 2021 self-titled record, brought in more soul and R&B influences while keeping his dramatic, crooning vocal style at the centre.
