About Spanish Love Songs
Spanish Love Songs began in Los Angeles in 2013, fronted by singer and guitarist Dylan Slocum. After the 2015 debut 'Giant Sings the Blues', the band's 2018 album 'Schmaltz' found a following in the punk and emo underground with its long, confessional lyrics and singalong codas.
'Brave Faces Everyone', released on Pure Noise Records in 2020, widened the frame from personal crisis to the economic pressures behind it. 'No Joy' (2023) brought more synths and a brighter, cleaner production to the same subjects.
