Sings and plays guitar over his own productions — closer to a band than a DJ set, melodic bass with a rock frontman's instincts.

Grabbitz is the stage name of Nick Chiari, born in 1993, a producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist from Buffalo, New York. He first drew attention with "Here with You Now," released on Monstercat in 2014, and stood out in the EDM world as a songwriter and vocalist rather than a straightforward producer or DJ.

His debut EP, Friends, followed in 2015 with the singles "Turn Around" and "Friends," and a second EP, Better with Time, arrived that December after the single "Float Away." His debut full-length, Things Change, came out in 2017, preceded by the single "Follow Me."

He has built a parallel career as a collaborator and remixer, working with artists including Karma Fields, Pegboard Nerds, Jauz, Savoy and Sullivan King on joint singles such as "All Alone" and "Crazy as You." He has also released further albums, including Time Isn't Real in 2022 and Let Them Only See Butterflies in 2023.

His own material folds singing and guitar into electronic production, moving between trap-influenced rhythms and something closer to alternative rock songwriting. That combination shapes his performances, which place him front and centre as a vocalist and player rather than behind a DJ booth.
