Gilsons is a Brazilian trio made up of members of Gilberto Gil's family — a son and grandsons of the Tropicália figure — who came together as a group in their own right rather than as a legacy act. Their music sits in the broad MPB tradition, built on close vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars, with reggae rhythms and samba pulling at the arrangements.
