A pop voice grown out of MPB and rock bands, whose debut turned sensual understatement into a national hit.

Marina Sena was born in 1996 and grew up in Taiobeiras, in the north of Minas Gerais, where she began writing songs at 15. At 17 she appeared as a contestant on The Voice Brasil, and in 2015 she started her professional career as vocalist of A Outra Banda da Lua, releasing an album and an EP with the group.

She went on to form the trio Rosa Neon in 2019, a pop project that released music before splitting in 2020, its end marked by the farewell song "A Gente é Demais".

Her 2021 solo debut, De Primeira, was launched by the single "Me Toca" and carried nationally by "Por Supuesto". The record won her three Multishow Brazilian Music Awards, for revelation artist, best experimental artist and best album, and earned two Latin Grammy nominations the following year.

She sings in a low, close, almost conversational register over production that leans on Brazilian rhythms filtered through electronic pop, with a stage presence built around dancing rather than vocal display.

In 2023 she signed with Sony Music Brazil and released the album Vício Inerente. Her third album, Coisas Naturais, followed in 2025, mixing pop and MPB with bossa nova, piseiro, reggae and pop rock; its tracks debuted across Brazil's Spotify top 100 and the record went gold on 40,000 units sold.
