Masked UK producer dealing in the filthiest end of dubstep, and one of its most reliable live presences — DPMO sets with zero mercy.

Funtcase is James Hazell, born in 1986 and raised in Bournemouth. He started out in drum and bass under the name DJ Dose in 2007 before switching to the FuntCase alias for his first single in 2009, carrying the genre's rhythmic instincts into the heavier bass music he became known for.

In 2010 he signed to Circus Records, the label run by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, and around the same period also released material under a second alias, Haze. Performing masked has stayed a constant throughout, giving him a visual identity as fixed as his sound.

His largest single release, the eight-track Don't Piss Me Off EP, arrived in 2013 and gave his label and events series its name. He also joined forces with Cookie Monsta on Circus Records' second showcase compilation, Circus Two, part of a run that established him within Circus Records' roster.

That label relationship, combined with a live show built on rapid mixing and unrelenting intensity, kept him touring the UK and North American bass circuits for well over a decade, with DPMO growing into an outlet for other producers working the same aggressive end of dubstep.
