About Anderson .Paak
Anderson .Paak, born Brandon Paak Anderson in Oxnard, California, played drums in church before recording under the name Breezy Lovejoy. His albums Venice (2014) and Malibu (2016), alongside a run of appearances on Dr. Dre's Compton (2015), brought him wide attention, and Oxnard (2018) and Ventura (2019) followed.
On stage he plays a kit at the front while singing and rapping, backed by the Free Nationals. He also records as NxWorries with producer Knxwledge, and with Bruno Mars as Silk Sonic, whose 1970s-style soul single 'Leave the Door Open' was a major hit and a multiple Grammy winner.
