Sapporo-born, San Francisco-based producer making melodic, emotional deep house, with soft piano lines and wistful synths laid over a steady pulse.

Qrion is the project of Momo Okabe, a producer who grew up in Sapporo and later relocated to San Francisco, where her sound settled into the melodic end of deep house. Much of her output has come through Anjunadeep, the label's emotive, slow-building house suiting her style closely.

Her tracks favour restraint: gentle chord progressions, soft vocal fragments and long, patient builds that stay in one mood. In DJ sets she keeps a similar temperature, moving between her own productions and other melodic house without sudden shifts in energy.
