Polaris are a metalcore band from Sydney, Australia, fronted by vocalist Jamie Hails. Their music is built on layered, melodic guitar work and abrupt shifts between screamed and sung passages, with lyrics that tend toward the personal and introspective rather than the confrontational.
The band became one of the more prominent Australian heavy acts of the late 2010s and 2020s, releasing a run of albums that charted well at home. Guitarist Ryan Siew died in 2023, and the group has continued since.
