Daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, stepping up to the mic on her own terms after a childhood spent in front of crowds.
North West was born on June 15, 2013, in Los Angeles, the eldest child of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. She grew up documented to an unusual degree, appearing in her father's 2014 video for "Only One" as a baby and turning up regularly on the family's reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Her performing roles expanded as a child actress. In 2023 she voiced Mini in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and in 2024 she sang "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" as young Simba in a staged concert presentation of The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl.
Her recording debut came in 2024 on the single "Talking / Once Again," which reached number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also appeared on the song "Bomb" alongside her sister Chicago, and sang in Japanese, alongside FKA Twigs, on "Childlike Things."
North West's music sits in hip-hop, delivered in a plain, unaffected child's voice over production drawn from her family's circle. She built an audience away from music too: by February 2024 a TikTok account she shared with her mother had gathered more than 18 million followers. In 2026 she released her debut EP, N0rth4evr.
