About Kim Petras
Kim Petras was born in Germany and moved to Los Angeles to pursue pop, releasing a run of standalone singles from 2017 such as 'I Don't Want It at All' and 'Heart to Break' that leaned on bright synths and big, simple hooks. Those songs were gathered around Clarity in 2019, the same year she put out Turn Off the Light, a horror-themed collection of darker club tracks timed for Halloween.
The 2022 EP Slut Pop pushed further into explicit, high-tempo dance-pop. Her major-label debut album, Feed the Beast, arrived in 2023, and later that year she released Problématique, a club-leaning record that had been shelved and then leaked before its official release.
