Dutch producer who broke into bass music while still a teenager, pairing brutal dubstep design with a melodic streak he keeps refusing to abandon.

Dion Timmer is a Dutch producer, born in 1999, who began releasing bass music as a teenager and drew early attention from Excision, appearing on his label and collaborating with him on the track "Shockwave". He later relocated to the United States.

His productions sit between the aggressive, heavily engineered side of dubstep — growling mid-range basses, sharp drops — and a more tuneful approach that keeps chord progressions and sung or sampled vocal lines in the foreground. He has also released music on labels associated with the wider UK and North American bass scene, and he handles much of his own sound design.
