About Bully
Bully is the project of singer, guitarist and songwriter Alicia Bognanno, who grew up in Minnesota and studied audio engineering in Tennessee before settling in Nashville. She interned at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, and she has engineered or co-produced the band's records.
The debut album Feels Like came out in 2015, followed by Losing (2017), Sugaregg (2020) and Lucky for You (2023) on Sub Pop. The songs are short and loud, with distorted guitars and Bognanno's voice often pushed to a scream on the choruses. The band began as a four-piece, and later records were made largely by Bognanno with collaborators.
