About Alec Lomami
Alec Lomami grew up in Kinshasa and is based in North Carolina, where he works as a DJ, producer and label head. In 2019 he and his brother Mike started NO VISA in Chapel Hill, a dance party built on club music from Africa and its diaspora that has since grown into a run of parties around the Triangle and a mix series.
His sets move through the club sounds of Congo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Angola and South Africa, with house, techno and bass music mixed in. His own releases include "Banga Nzambe" (2024), issued in several versions, and NO VISA has partnered with the UK promoter Keep Hush.
