The Snuts formed in Whitburn, West Lothian, where Jack Cochrane, Joe McGillveray, Callum Wilson and Jordan Mackay went to school together. They spent several years on Scottish stages and built an audience through singles including "Glasgow" and "All Your Friends" before the first album arrived.
Cochrane writes about small-town boredom, nights out and the people he grew up around, and sings in a broad West Lothian accent that the band has never sanded down. Burn the Empire followed in 2022, with Millennials in 2024. Live, the songs are built for crowds to shout back, and they usually do.
