The Callous Daoboys

The Callous Daoboys formed in Atlanta in 2016 and take their name from a spoonerism of the Dallas Cowboys. Fronted by vocalist Carson Pace, the band plays mathcore with an unusually wide palette, folding violin, pop hooks, spoken passages and sudden stylistic swerves into music that otherwise draws on the dissonant hardcore lineage of the Dillinger Escape Plan and Every Time I Die.
Their records combine long, structurally unpredictable songs with lyrics that mix satire and sincerity. The group has released albums and EPs through MNRK Heavy, and has become one of the more prominent bands in the recent revival of interest in mathcore.
