Pink-glitter 'bimbocore' — pop-metalcore with a feminist bite, breakdowns in hot pink and lyrics that name names.

Hannah Collins grew up in Upstate New York before living in Alabama and Ohio and eventually settling in Los Angeles. As a teenager she ran a Tumblr blog and followed scene bands like Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce the Veil, before stepping away from that world around 2015 over what she saw as its misogyny.

She built an audience on TikTok before self-releasing the single "Are You Tired?" in 2020 and signing to Hopeless Records the following year. The songs combine metalcore riffs and breakdowns with pop hooks and a hot-pink visual identity, using the contrast deliberately.

Her debut EP, Bimbocore, arrived in 2022 behind the singles "Pink Rover" and "Pink Panther". A second EP, Bimbocore Vol. 2, followed later that year with "Pink G-String" and a collaboration with Set It Off called "Barbie & Ken". A debut full-length, Hot Singles in Your Area, came out in 2024.

Her lyrics are direct and often satirical, addressing misogyny and predatory behaviour within the heavy music scene. The single "18+" was written specifically to call out sexual misconduct in that world, while "MILF" mixes country and metal in a similarly confrontational spirit.

The project's aesthetic, pink lighting, pink merchandise, pink everything, is part of the argument rather than decoration.
