OTHERWISE
Las Vegas hard rock band fronted by the Patrick brothers, longtime fixtures of the active-rock radio circuit — post-grunge heft with anthems built for arenas they've mostly opened.
Otherwise formed in Las Vegas around brothers Adrian Patrick on vocals and Ryan Patrick on guitar, releasing a self-titled album independently in 2006 before signing with Century Media Records. Their song Soldiers broke on Sirius XM Octane and became the first track by an unsigned band to reach number one on that station's chart.
Century Media released True Love Never Dies (2012), Peace at All Costs (2014) and Sleeping Lions (2017). The band moved to Mascot Records in 2018 and released Defy the following year, followed by Gawdzillionaire in 2023. Otherwise has been certified RIAA Gold.
The band works in a post-grunge and active-rock idiom built on heavy, downtuned riffs and clean-sung choruses, with lyrics that lean toward resilience and defiance. That combination has kept the band's singles in rotation on rock radio for over a decade.
The current lineup rounds out with drummer Joe Conner, who joined in 2019, and bassist Sean Fitz, who joined in 2023. Otherwise has kept a steady presence on rock radio and the American touring circuit since the early 2010s.
