OneRepublic

OneRepublic came together in Colorado Springs around singer Ryan Tedder and guitarist Zach Filkins. Their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud (2007), included 'Apologize', which became a worldwide hit in a remix by Timbaland. Later singles such as 'Secrets', 'Counting Stars' and 'I Ain't Worried', which featured in Top Gun: Maverick, kept the band on pop radio for well over a decade.

Tedder also works as a songwriter and producer for other artists, with credits including Beyoncé's 'Halo' and songs for Adele, and the band's records lean on the same skills: cello and piano under a falsetto hook, with stomping percussion and the occasional whistled melody.
