About Circuit des Yeux
Circuit des Yeux is the long-running project of Haley Fohr, who started it as a teenager in Lafayette, Indiana, before settling in Chicago. Early records were home-recorded and abrasive, built from guitar drone and her voice pushed to its edges. Over time the project moved toward arranged chamber and orchestral settings, with strings and brass framing songs that still hinge on that low, wide-ranging voice.
Reaching for Indigo came out on Drag City in 2017, and -io followed on Matador in 2021 as her most heavily orchestrated work at that point. Away from Circuit des Yeux, Fohr has also released folk-leaning songs under the name Jackie Lynn.
