Bec O'Malley

Bec O'Malley is from Stockport, in Greater Manchester. He picked up a guitar at twelve and grew up in an Irish family where country music was always playing, then spent years in bands and playing solo in Manchester's Irish pubs. In 2024 a rough phone video of him covering Dylan Gossett's 'Coal' on a walk in the Peak District became his most-watched clip.

His songs mix modern American country with British indie influences such as Oasis and The La's, written from his own northern English life. He built a live following, with sold-out shows and support slots, before releasing any music, and for a long time billed himself as a 'singer with no songs out'. His debut single is 'Let You Go'.
