About Anuel AA
Anuel AA is the stage name of Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, born in 1992 in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He built his following on the island's mixtape and SoundCloud circuit in the mid-2010s, and his catchphrase "Real Hasta la Muerte" became the title of his 2018 debut album, released shortly after he finished a prison sentence on a firearms charge.
Since then he has moved between hard, menacing trap and more melodic reggaeton. 'Secreto' with Karol G was a major hit, and he led 'China' alongside Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Ozuna and J Balvin. His second album, 'Emmanuel', followed in 2020.
