Manuel Turizo

Manuel Turizo was born in Montería, Colombia, in 2000 and broke through as a teenager when 'Una Lady Como Tú' spread across Latin America in 2017. He often writes and records with his brother Julián Turizo.

His low, warm baritone sets him apart from many of his reggaeton peers, and he leans toward romantic, mid-tempo songs. His albums include ADN and 2000. In 2022 'La Bachata' became an international hit, and he followed it with 'El Merengue', a collaboration with Marshmello, showing a habit of folding older Caribbean dance styles into contemporary urban pop.
