Yung Lean

Yung Lean is Jonatan Leandoer Håstad, born in Stockholm in 1996. With producers Yung Sherman and Yung Gud he formed the Sad Boys collective, and the 2013 video for "Ginseng Strip 2002" spread fast online with its hazy, slowed beats and deadpan, half-mumbled English verses. The early mixtape Unknown Death 2002 was followed by the albums Unknown Memory (2014), Warlord (2016), Stranger (2017) and Starz (2020).

Alongside the rap records he releases guitar-based, folk-leaning music as jonatan leandoer96 and Leandoer127. In 2024 he and fellow Swede Bladee released the joint album Psykos. The 2020 documentary In My Head follows his early rise and the years after it.
