London four-piece led by Juliette Jackson, pairing warm group harmonies with guitar pop that turns wry and observational up close.

The Big Moon formed in London in 2014 around songwriter Juliette Jackson, who assembled the band after writing an initial batch of songs alone. Early on, the group toured London on a co-headline bill with fellow bands VANT and Inheaven, then went on to support the Maccabees, Ezra Furman and the Vaccines before signing to Fiction Records in 2016.

The line-up settled with Soph Nathann on guitar, Celia Archer on bass and Fern Ford on drums, and much of the group's identity rests on the four of them singing together. Their debut EP, The Road, arrived in 2016 alongside the single "Cupid" and a cover of Madonna's "Beautiful Stranger".

Their debut album, Love in the 4th Dimension, was produced by Catherine Marks and released in 2017, going on to be shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. The band later supported the Pixies on their 2019 UK tour and contributed to Marika Hackman's album I'm Not Your Man.

A second album, Walking Like We Do, produced with Ben H. Allen, followed in January 2020, the same year the band was named Record Store Day's official ambassador. Work on a third record was delayed after Jackson's pregnancy; she began writing with Jessica Winter, and the band recorded much of it in Fern Ford's home studio.

The resulting album, Here Is Everything, was released in October 2022 behind the singles "Wide Eyes" and "Trouble", softening the group's scrappier guitar attack with keyboards and more spacious arrangements while keeping Jackson's conversational, detail-heavy writing at the centre. Onstage the band remain known for a loose, funny rapport around songs about friendship, domestic life and getting older.
