Odd Future's in-house noise merchant — beats built from blown-out drums and horror-movie synths, the sound of the crew's rawest early run.

Left Brain is the producer and rapper Vyron Turner, one of the founding figures in the Los Angeles collective Odd Future. Alongside his production work for members of the crew, he formed the duo MellowHype with Hodgy, handling the beats while Hodgy rapped, and the pair released a run of records during the group's most prolific early period. His productions from that era lean on distorted drums, murky low end and dissonant synth lines, a deliberately abrasive counterpoint to the more melodic corners of the collective's output. He also appeared as a rapper on Odd Future's group releases and in the crew's videos and television work.
