About Jayda G
Jayda G is the name Jayda Guy records and DJs under. She grew up in British Columbia and studied environmental science, completing a master's degree with research on orca whales, before building a career in dance music from a base in London.
Her debut album, Significant Changes, came out on Ninja Tune in 2019, and its single "Both of Us" was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammys. The 2023 follow-up, Guy, made with Fred again.., draws on recorded memories of her late father and leans further into soul and vocal house.
