About Dean Turnley
Dean Turnley is a Melbourne DJ and producer working in the lineage of Detroit and Chicago house. His productions are stripped-back and functional, favouring tension and groove over excess, and his approach is DJ-led: the records are shaped by the time he spends in the booth, with roots in house and '90s sounds.
He spent close to a decade as a fixture of Australia's underground, playing clubs and festivals, and co-founded Sundancer, a festival in Thailand. His breakout came in 2026 with 'Actin' Tough', a bass-driven track that went from a Melbourne underground ID to a global club record, reaching number one on the Beatport chart and drawing remixes from A.B.C. and Mall Grab.
